In a few minutes, the computer will show you one photograph randomly selected from a large pool of possible pictures.
This is the "target".
Your task is to imagine what the target looks like in advance. We've provided some hints about how to do this.
After you've gained an impression, you'll indicate your impressions about the target in three phases.
Phase 1: First, select as many of the shapes as you feel correspond with your impression.
(Please note: This is not the test itself, just an illustration of what you'll be doing later.)
Phase 3: Last, enter a few words to describe your impressions. These can be a description of what you think the image is, or some thoughts about content that weren't captured by the choices provided above. Or you can skip this.
You may enter anything you wish in this box, but note that the box length is limited, and the keywords should generally be single specific nouns referring to prominent objects, features, colors, etc in the picture. Keywords will be matched against a short list of words that were supplied by previous users when viewing the pictures as judges.
Several scoring methods are provided. Select one to be used in determining a numerical score based on how close your description matched the target picture. When you are satisfied with your selections, hit the Submit button at the bottom of the page.
When your score has been computed, it will be displayed along with the actual target picture and several lines of text summarizing your description. Each item you chose on the previous page is listed (0-1 for the checkboxes, 0-5 for the button items), as well as the keywords you entered.
